Bite Me!

August 21st, 2005

Chi, (Clint Eastwood) the tabby gun slinger of Freddie Street, is staring down the barrel of a loaded claw. ‘OK punk, do you feel lucky? Go ahead, bite me, make my day!’

Buster

August 19th, 2005

Here’s another fluffy beauty with startling eyes. I’m partly through the painting process using acrylics in glazes over my favourite very fine linen canvas which gives a very smooth lovely surface.

Buster is now finished. He really does have amazing eyes.

I hope I’ve been able to do him justice.

Ananda and Maya

August 17th, 2005

Rona’s cats Ananda the Maine Coon and Maya the Bengal are a pair of beauties. Here they are as very young cats enjoying a snooze together. This is a pastel and pencil sketch as exploring ideas for a painting.

And here they are, two sleeping lovelies, one Bengal and one Maine Coon. This is painted in acrylics on Bockingford paper.

Kalima Seal Point Siamese

August 14th, 2005

Kalima is one of my favourite Siamese models. She lives in Switzerland with her owner Karin and a family of Siamese stunners. This painting is a 16×12 acrylic painting on canvas and will be in the SOFA show at the Llewellyn Alexander Gallery in London in September.

Lavender Cat

August 14th, 2005

Ming, my snow bengal cat, makes a good model. He looks rather good against the lavender and greens in this painting, it really shows off his lovely eyes.

Acrylics, ink and watercolour on Bockingford paper, painted in layers again using acrylic mediums to define the layers and add random texture to the paint.

He has lovely blue eyes!

Lavender Cat is now a limited edition print
