This is Laura’s cat Forrest, a fabulous Abyssinian cat lying on a wonderful polished wood floor. He looks so gorgeous lying there I just want to tickle his tummy. I loved the way he was reflected in the floor and the wonderful rich colours in the floor and his fur. He is a little plumper than this to be fair, but I thought I’d make him look less middle aged and more like the young svelte cat he once was. It’s not only humans who are vain you know!

Forrest was painted in acrylics on canvas and you can see more details in this close up image. Sadly I can’t get a good photo that really shows the colours in the floor well.

Curled up in a warm, comfy spot. Isn’t that the best way to spend an afternoon?
