Projectile Vomiting For Beginners

August 16th, 2006

Sass - The Incredible Vomiting CatAn article by Sass, The Incredible Vomiting Cat

My name is Sass, The Incredible Vomiting Cat. I am a tabby point Siamese and I live in London with a group of felines known as the Freddie Street Cats and a couple of human slaves. This Cats Guide is all about the creative art of projectile vomiting. I hope it will help young cats in their struggles to improve their technique.

As my nickname suggests, I have a little difficulty with my digestion. Most notably, I tend to re-decorate the house on a daily basis. The humans often refer to me as the Pump Action Double Barreled Shot Cat. Their sense of humour leaves a lot to be desired!

Cuddles Framed

Cuddles Framed

Here’s Cuddles, a painting I finished early this year. Now its framed and ready for the SOFA exhibition. I think the framers did a great job and the frame looks wonderful, its a cross between silver and gold and it changes in the light. Sadly the photo doesn’t do it justice really.

The Society Of Feline Artists London Exhibition 2006

August 12th, 2006

The Society Of Feline Artists London show starts on September the 4th and runs for three weeks at the Llewellyn Alexander gallery at Waterloo in London. Sugar Plum Fairies made the front cover of the catalogue! I’m so thrilled.

It looks like it’s going to be a great exhibition this year with a wide range of work on show. There were some beautiful paintings being handed in today. If anyone would like an invite to the private view do email me.

Big Beautiful Eyes

August 1st, 2006

This is a sketch of Karli (aka Dovepeak Paintedlaydi) a gorgeous tortie and white Devon Rex cat. She is such a cutie and those beautiful enormous yellow green eyes makes her wonderful to paint! I think her breed name is very appropriate. She lives in Devon with Sarah and Ian and the rest if the feline family.

Here is the finished painting of Big Beautiful Eyes.  It’s a small picture, 8×8 inches, painted in watercolour and acrylics on watercolour paper in very light washes to keep the delicacy of the sketch and the impact of her amazing eyes.
