January, 2009FrankJanuary 4th, 2009 Another of the Christmas commissions is Frank. I rather fell for Frank as I was painting him. He looks to be quite a character. He was also a lot of fun to paint as he’s sitting partly in sun and partly in shade and the colours in his fur change with the light.

Black CatJanuary 3rd, 2009 He might not have a remarkable name but he is a remarkable cat. He came to live with his owner as a stray, he just moved in one day and made himself at home. But he quickly became the father of the family. One night he woke his owner in the early hours of the morning, he’d never done that before. When she got up to see what was upsetting him, she found that one of the other cats had hurt herself, she had a nasty cut that was bleeding. Black Cat had woken her to get help for Bella. What a cat! Of course Bella has recovered from her injury now and the cats sleep through the night again. Black Cat is a beautiful, gentle and remarkable cat.
