Fluffy CatsSapphireDecember 30th, 2011 This beautiful lady is Sapphire. She has the most amazing blue eyes. This is a 10×12 inch oil painting on board. Her fur is very soft and seems to merge into the warm colours behind her, she almost glows against the rose coloured background.
Kitten On PinkMay 18th, 2011 I couldn’t resist the challenge of painting this pretty little tabby cat sitting on a hot pink sofa with the light shining in her fur. This is the smallest painting I’ve done, it’s only 5×5 inches and painted in oils.
She was quite a challenge but it was fun to see if I could do it at such a small size! 2011 Cat CalendarOctober 1st, 2010 New this year is The Painted Cat 2011 Wall Calendar! This is Edina playing in the wrapping paper. A silver Maine Coon cat in pretty pink wrapping, luscious! She’s a beautiful girl. I’ll make this into a new Christmas card. SparkleJanuary 8th, 2008 Sparkle is a Ragdoll cat who looks totally blissed out laying on the bed. This painting is a 22×18 acrylic on canvas board commissioned by her owner Vikki.
This painting was wonderful to paint. The underpainting is full of reds and violets and with the blues of the bed covers over the top it makes the colours glow and they look rich and luscious. Sadly that doesn’t come across in photos.
