Curled up in a warm, comfy spot. Isn’t that the best way to spend an afternoon?

This is Hobbes, a wonderful tabby point siamese cat giving us a close up view of his dental work!

I loved the pose in Siamese Love so much I thought I’d use the same pose again but try a full figure, more detailed painting. I also wanted to use a pink background as a good colour to set off their creamy fur.

I love the colouring in this one, although the photo isn’t very good at showing the colours I’ve used hot pinks, scarlet reds and cool purples in the shadows.

This close up picture shows the colours a little better and you can see the texture of the paper. This is painted in acrylics on watercolour paper.

This is the finished acrylic painting on watercolour paper. These two siamese cats look so comfortable together don’t they, curled up in each others arms. These two beauties live in Switzerland with their owner Karin. With Valentines Day not far away I was thinking of the theme of love while painting this one.

These two siamese cats are sleeping arm in arm. Isn’t love wonderful? This is a quick sketch for a larger painting.
