The annual Exhibition for The Society of Feline Artists is now on at the Llewellyn Alexander Gallery in London (opposite The Old Vic, Waterloo). The show runs until the 16th of September.

And here are my paintings…

Photos of the hang and of the private view can seen on the SOFA blog. There’s a slideshow with plenty of photos so you can get a good look around the show. Almost as good as being there.

These two beautiful Siamese cats belong to Gill Barnes. I painted them sleeping together on silk cushions. The photos suffer a little bit from using flash, but it’s been so dark recently that its impossible to get good photos without it. But hopefully you’ll be able to see how beautiful these two boys are.

Win Bengal cat prints and Christmas cards!

The Bengal Cat forum have a limerick competition to help raise money for The Lightning Fund. You can enter as many limericks as you like but they ask for a small donation of £3 per entry. ALL monies donated will be going directly to the Lightning fund. All limericks MUST be original and they may contain any words pertaining to the Bengal cat such as rosette, glitter, marble etc.. The competition is open to both European & International members.

There are several prizes including a pastel portrait, Bengal cat prints and Bengal cat Christmas cards. I’ve donated a print and Christmas cards to the cause. The competition runs until December the 11th.

Here are the details on The Bengal Cat Forum….

This is one of the largest prints I’ve done. Its a 20×16 inch print of In The Pink in a 24×30 inch frame. This is one of two pieces I’ve donated to The Battersea Dog and Cats Home to help raise funds. It’s their 150th anniversary this year and there’s a ball on the 25th of November. I hope In the Pink will raise a bit of cash for them.
It was quite an adventure taking over there in the high winds we had. For a couple of sticky moments I thought I might get blown across London, arriving by air instead of road! :-)

The galleries have been growing steadily and I thought it was about time that the long haired cats got their own space. So The Painted Cat now has a gallery, the Fabulous Fluffballs. So this is the new home of the majestic and magnificent Maine Coon, the beautiful Balinese, the superb Somali and all their long haired feline friends.
