Siamese Cuddles

There’s nothing nicer than sharing a cuddle with your best friend. These two siamese cats are enjoying a warm nap together and I couldn’t resist painting them.
They’ve been painted in acrylics on watercolour paper with a series of loose glazed layers which gives lots of subtle colours and tones. Have a look at the close up detail of the fur in front of the ear below. There are lots of soft shades of gold, cream, pink, green, blue and brown.

This is my favourite siamese yet, what a great pose, really sweet. You do beautiful work with Siamese cats, and they seem to be VERY POPULAR! You are the ‘cat’s meow’!
