Painting Tabby Twist

I just love the way Sonia’s tabby cat, Tigger, is sleeping and the wonderful contrast of the greens and blues in his coat against the warm gold’s and rusts of the chair and the soft light coming through the window. It’s a 16×12 oil painting and I’m using a lot of texture and pattern in the chair, painting with fingers, a palette knife and anything else that comes to hand and makes an interesting pattern.
