I Won!!!!

To my total amazement I won the Llewellyn Alexander gallery prize for ‘Lick Me!’. I’m still recovering from the shock but we’re planning a night out this weekend to celebrate.
:-)

Thank you to the gallery for choosing ‘Lick me!’ and thank you to my model Chi for posing for the picture. He ate a LOT of cream that day and managed not to be sick.

I already commented on this painting, on your Flickr site – but had to come over and check out your recent works.
Glad Chi didn’t get sick on all that cream. (grin)

Thanks!!!! I still can’t believe it. Chi has had a great year as a model. I’ve also used him as the model for my new Christmas card (which I’ll post soon). He had the really hard task of stealing pieces of meat from a dinner plate! He LOVED that! :-)

But I got the pose I needed for card and he got to eat the meat, although he had to share with Ming.

Congratulations Denise. Another excellent painting. I will be heading up to the exhibition on the 22nd with some friends who have been round to admire the paintings you did of our boys – Huey & Louie. Hope all your piccies will still be there on the last day for us to see.

btw – we absolutely love our piccies and they bring a smile to our faces every time we look at them, they are awesome :0)

Fantastic Painting ! Congrats. We purchased Hanging Basket last Xmas and it has pride of place in our living room. Love this painting.
