A Tale of Friendship, Gifts & A Perfect Match

There’s something magical about giving, especially when it brings an unexpected surprise. Last month, I ran a giveaway for a print of Mouse, one of my paintings of a tabby cat curled up asleep. I asked, “If you won, who would you gift it to?”

The winner, Emily, had a heartfelt answer… “I’d love to give it to my friend Kim. She and her husband also look after strays that turn up in their yard by providing them with love, food and a heated cat bed box so they stay warm outside. She’s also a complete cat lady, shares her own art of kindness rocks and deserves a little gift.”

I sent the print to Kim, and a few days later, she sent me a lovely thank-you message… along with a photo.

In the picture, her cat is posing with the print. And then I saw it—he looked just like Mouse. Right down to the white stripe on his nose! Its quite amazing isn’t it?

I love moments like this, when art connects people in the most unexpected ways.
