The Painted Cat
Beach Buddies
Beach Buddies definitely wandered a little off piste, but sometimes those are the paintings that are the most fun to make. It started with the idea of a very cool cat enjoying a sunny day at the seaside, complete with…
That Tabby Stare – Sold
I loved painting this close-up face, with all those beautiful stripes, soft watercolour blooms and one bright golden eye watching the world. There’s something so expressive about tabbies. They can look wise, curious, affectionate and slightly judgemental all at once…
Dreamy Tabby Sketch
Soft eyes with that faraway look they get when they’re either contemplating the universe… or thinking about chicken. Another quick sketch for #caturday, a few loose pen lines, watercolour allowed to wander, and suddenly he looks like he’s dreaming of…

Racing Tabby Watercolour – Sold
This colourful watercolour tabby is off and running. Painted on handmade paper, his fur softens and melts into the surface, giving a real sense of movement and speed. The idea came from my other half, who reminded me of our…
