Racing Tabby Watercolour
This colourful watercolour tabby is off and running. Painted on handmade paper, his fur softens and melts into the surface, giving a real sense of movement and speed.
The idea came from my other half, who reminded me of our old tabby, Chi, who was famous for doing a full “wall of death” around the living room ? He challenged me to try and capture that energy on paper. I didn’t quite manage him running up the walls, but I did paint him racing flat-out in full flight. What do you think? Did I capture him?

The original painting has now sold, but I love how much character and joy there is in this piece. For me, it really captures that unstoppable tabby spirit.
