This is what happens in my house when I turn my back for one second…
Adding the final touch before it goes.
I always wrap my watercolours by hand, and just before the parcel is finished, I press the wax seal into place. It’s a small thing, but it feels important. A quiet moment to pause, take a breath, and say goodbye to a painting I’ve spent days (sometimes weeks) bringing to life.
Soon it’ll be unwrapped somewhere new, ready to settle onto a wall and become part of someone else’s story.
This is the part where it leaves my studio… and begins its next chapter. 💛
