Rain Sleeping

This is Rain, fast asleep. Not your typical profile pose, but that’s what made me want to paint it.

There’s something lovely about that completely relaxed sleeping-cat shape, the closed eye, the curve of the face and that peaceful expression. It’s also a fun challenge. With no bright eyes looking back at you, I have to find Rain’s character in the shapes, colours and little details instead.

Let’s see how he comes to life in paint. 🎨🐾
