Digby – sold

This lovely lad is Digby. He has such a sweet face and a lovely smile. I painted him on a wood board. It has a texture to the wood grain and that shows through the layers of paint giving the painting texture too. The board has been painted with gold gesso which shows through the paint in places. I’ve also scraped the wet oils back to create his whiskers, so he has gold whiskers. He is one of a series of 6×6 inch portraits in the Catitude project.
