Meet Poppy

Poppy is one of those cats you don’t forget in a hurry. She has the most beautiful tortie face and those luminous green eyes that seem to look straight into your soul. I painted her from above, gazing up at us with that wonderfully expectant expression cats do so well… perhaps asking whether dinner is on its way, or whether we’ve spotted her favourite blue jack toy.

This portrait was painted as a commission in oils on canvas, capturing her character, her colours, and that bright, knowing look.
